Ford Motor Company's Michigan Central Innovation District in Detroit is launching a new program to bring technology-infused art, artists, and conversations to the historic railway station and 30-acre complex that is being created around it. The program will seek to provide a venue for artists to create and exhibit works that incorporate technology into large-scale, interactive projects and events that would be difficult to commission and produce elsewhere in Detroit. According to Nathaniel Wallace, the programs Civic Partnership advisor, the program would feature artist residencies and fellowships, as well as relationships with existing cultural organizations. It will include artist residencies and fellowships and partnerships with existing cultural institutions, said Na Wallace, who joined the Michigan Central Innovation District as head of civic partnerships last fall.” For more of the article visit: Michigan Central looks to weave art into Detroit campus | Crain's Detroit Business (crainsdetroit.com)
