Galerie Camille is excited to announce Living Frequency, an upcoming group exhibition that will honor and celebrate the vibrant legacy of Detroit's Black artistic and cultural community.
 

The exhibition will launch on February 8, 2025, with an opening reception at Galerie Camille, located at 4130 Cass Ave, Ste C, Detroit, MI, from 5 PM to 8 PM. It will be on display until February 28, 2025.
 

This exhibit will feature a dynamic mix of emerging and mid-career artists from the city, each contributing their unique
perspectives to the narrative. Featured artists include Joe Cazeno III, Ijania Cortez, Darian ‘Saint’ Greer, Breianna Jackson, Tylear Jefferson, Jonathan Kimble, James Charles Morris, Brian Nickson, Joshua Rainer, Phillip Simpson, Miriam Uhura, Oshun Williams and Jacob Zelecki.
These talented artists will showcase new works that pay tribute to the groundbreaking figures and pivotal moments that have helped shape Detroit’s Black artistic community. Presented through various mediums—such as painting, digital art, and mixed media—this exhibition aims to capture the essence of the community, highlighting its history and
aspirations.
 

By dedicating time and recognition to this vital legacy, Living Frequency seeks to cultivate a deeper understanding of the influences that have shaped these artists' work while sparking a dialogue about the ongoing evolution of Detroit's cultural landscape. Visitors can look forward to an engaging and thought-provoking experience that honors the past
while embracing a future filled with creative promise.
 

Living Frequency is curated by multidisciplinary artist James Charles Morris in collaboration with Marta Carvajal,Galerie Camille’s Director.
