DETROIT ACE is proud to present a conversation with filmmaker and producer Mark Stryker, Detroit City Historian Jamon Jordan and Co-Founder of Verse and Hook Justin Norman  as Mark's film "The Best of the Best: Jazz from Detroit" premieres on Prime Video on December 9. The conversation will be led by Detroit Director of Arts and Culture Rochelle Riley and is co-sponsored by Film Detroit, a new City initiative.

The Best... is the first documentary film that tells the dynamic story of Detroit’s innovative and influential jazz musicians and their impact on American jazz. Set within Detroit’s dramatic rise and fall as an industrial power and the struggles and triumphs of its African American community, the film weaves a compelling historical and cultural tapestry through the 20th and 21st centuries.  The film features interviews with many great Detroit jazz musicians as well as with Jordan, who just celebrated four years as the City of Detroit's first-ever Official Historian.
